The Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022. An entire generation of women have now lost the freedom to make a decision about their own bodies. Now, after almost 50 years as the law of the land, our fundamental right of choice has been ripped away.

National John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Action Day

When Congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis died last year, his legacy of fighting social justice continued. Groups across the nation came together to protect and improve voting rights. State and local leaders gathered in Madison, Wisconsin, hosted a “Votercade” to raise awareness about protecting the right to vote and limiting the influence of wealthy donors in our elections.

“Had the tables been turned and President Donald Trump won the election and those were thousands of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters I would have been concerned,” Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson stated about the January 6 insurrection on the U.S. Capitol. Five people died in the riot including one police officer and dozens were injured. Prosecutors have charged more than 400 people with crimes and nearly that many had been arrested. Forty people have been arrested for assault on law enforcement officers – this is Domestic Terrorism in its most hateful form.
